I so enjoyed your post.  I just went to my 35th reunion and had not seen my small group since the first reunion.   Didn&#039;t remember as much of the cliques-- as it was a small rural community, but some of the rest was so familiar.  I have lived in Dallas for the last 20 yrs and can attest to that clique mentality being prevalent here. 
Like you I so enjoyed seeing those individuals who had both the same adolescent and teen perceptions of life, and how we all survived that difficult time.  I also remember how we seem to have more things that bonded us to that time periods than current teens.
We see what they say in 30 years!!!
