Her TSH was NEVER above 2.7, yet she had numerous low thyroid symptoms. She got on Armour, and the rest is history.

For more than 20 years, I had many low thyroid symptoms. And every time I would talk to a doc about it, they would simply run the dang TSH and say “your thyroid is fine”. My TSH was never above 2.7!

I was offered antidepressants by every doc that I ever saw, but I never could figure out how an antidepressant was going to keep my hair from falling out…or make my skin less dry…or raise my body temp.

Along with all the other symptoms, one of my main concerns was my weight. I ate between 1000 to 1200 calories daily and walked for exercise and continued to gain weight no matter what I did.

When my oldest son’s low thyroid problem was finally found, I was able to talk his doc into letting me do a trial on Armour Thyroid. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother also had thyroid problems, so it definitely ran in our family.

I noticed some difference on 1 and 2 grains, but didn’t really notice a lot until I was up to 3 grains daily. Then I finally started losing weight slowly, had more energy, and felt “happier”. I’ve always had an obsessive compulsive personality, and noticed even that was getting better on Armour. I do not feel as anxious and uptight as I did before Armour. In order to thoroughly treat my symptoms I have been taking 5 grains daily and my hair loss is normal, my skin is normal and my body temp is closer to normal. I use to have a “nervous” stomach but that is gone. I have lost 26 lbs in 17 months and I’m hoping to lose another 20 lbs. For the first time in my life I feel that it is possible for me to lose weight.

I have always been told that I had a heart murmur that “I must have been born with”. At my last doctor’s visit he told me that I no longer have a heart murmur. hmmmmm must be the Armour!

I honestly feel great! I feel like I have my life back and I know that no one will ever take my Armour from me!

So the moral of the story is that the TSH is very unreliable. I don’t need a doc to treat my numbers — I need him to treat my symptoms! And that nothing works better then Armour Thyroid to treat low thyroid symptoms!
