How to read Janie Bowthorpe’s eBooks on Kindle or your computer
TO TRANSFER AND READ YOUR eBOOK TO YOUR KINDLE READER (MOBI):
First download the Mobi eBook you are purchasing to your computer. Save it to your desktop or a folder. Connect your Kindle reader device to your computer using a USB cable. On your Kindle, click on Actions, then Download and Transfer via USB. Select your Kindle reader and download.
TO TRANSFER AND READ YOUR eBOOK ON YOUR WINDOWS COMPUTER (ePub):
Get the following free ePub reader, called Adobe Digital Editions, for your computer: http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html (This is NOT the Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat, nor will either of those open an ePub file.)
Next, download the ePub file of the ebook you are purchasing. Save to your computer or device and remember where you saved it.
In the top-left corner of Adobe Digital Editions, click ?File? and then ?Add to Library?. Look through your computer’s system for the place you saved the ePub file and open the file. The eBook will be added to your Adobe Digital Editions library. Double-click the eBook in the library to begin reading.
*NOTE: The above directions are only for your newly purchased eBook. If you ever want to get back in to read it, you just open Adobe Digital Editions and find the ebook in your Library.
TO TRANSFER AND READ YOUR eBOOK ON YOUR MAC or iPAD (ePub)
After downloading the purchased ePub to your Mac, go to iBooks on your Mac. Drag the ePub to iBooks. The eBook file will appear in iTunes.
Connect your iPad to your Mac/iTunes. Go to Books within iTunes on the iPad. You can select whatever ePub files you dragged.
TO TRANSFER AND READ YOUR eBOOK VIA EMAIL TO AN iPAD or KINDLE (either MOBI or ePub)
Attach your MOBI or ePub eBook file to a new email message. Send that email with attachment to your iPad. Tap and hold the attached file until an “Open to Kindle” or “Open in iBooks” menu appears and tap on your choice. The eBook will then open in either iBooks or your Kindle reader.
Or…since you will get an invoice for your purchase in an email, you can simply tap and hold the download link. A menu will come up. Click on Add to Reading List for Kindle if it’s on your iPad, or other destination.
Says a reader: I was having trouble downloading the ebook. So I got an ePub compatible reader and problem solved!!
