UPDATE: I am pleased to announce that the most gutsy, revolutionary, comprehensive and practical book on the subject of diagnosis, treatment, and medications for hypothyroid, as well as related conditions, including low ferritin, adrenal fatigue and other problems which befall hypothyroid patients…is out! This is YOUR book as a patient-to-patient book.

The link below will take you to the Publisher’s website. On the home page, you can read about the publisher. Then click on the PRODUCTS page to see the book and information. Click on the DOUBLE GREEN ARROWS to open up the entire text plus shipping information.

******************************************

Yup, it’s done. It’s complete. And I can say without a doubt that there is NO book on hypothyroid as hands-on as this one. Why can I say that? Because the book is based on YOUR EXPERIENCE and thousands like you. Because this is THE patient-to-patient book. Yes, I wrote it, but YOU wrote it, too.

Where is the STTM book available? It will FIRST be available right here on the site in approximately two weeks. It’s about 300 pages and will sell for 19.95. So keep coming back here.

Is the STTM book a copy of the website? Not exactly. Yes, you will see some things in the book that ARE on the website. That was important. But.…you will also find a chapter totally on T3. You will learn some history that’s not on the website. You will get more details on adrenal support. You will have new stories of others. You will read a chapter totally written for and about doctors. And there’s much more that is not right on the STTM site…little details inserted here and inserted there.

Why did I write it? Because though the STTM website has done WONDERS to reach people, MORE is needed. There are folks out there who are NOT coming to the web, or even know to look for answers, and this book will reach them. And.…it can simply be more productive to have a BOOK to refer to and a BOOK to read when you are traveling in the airplane or waiting in the doctor’s office. AND.….FINALLY, we have something to HAND THE DOCTOR when he or she doesn’t get what we are talking about…or to our family or friends when they don’t get it, either.

Get ready. I’m excited. I hope you are too. img_0261.JPG

P.S. Guess what Oprah Winfrey may be drinking daily?? Soy milk. And since soy is a known thyroid inhibitor, guess what she’s doing to her thyroid? Quoted directly from her site: Thanks to all the yogurt and calcium-enriched soymilk she consumes, she’s getting an average of about 1,100 mg of calcium daily OOPS.

Many blessings with your book, Janie. This site has remarkable efficacy in helping thousands of thyroid/adrenal sufferers like myself to regain a state of good health which we thought could never have been restored. The book should be a smash! Many thanks for all you have done to enlighten us!

    Break a leg!

Very well done Janie and God bless you for writing your Book. I know your book will be read by millions throughout the world, as all the undiagnosed, untreated, undertreated, wrongly treated sufferers of hypothyroidism will at last, now KNOW why they continue to feel so ill and why their doctors don’t know what they are doing because they have been so badly trained in all things thyroid. Let’s hope this is the one book that will, at last, get the truth out and that doctors, patients, medical boards and governments the world over will read it and understand why the diagnosis and treatment of hypothyroidism is in such chaos and why there is such controversy over treatment options. I can’t wait to read it, and know that it will be as brilliant and informative as your website and forums. I think I can say on behalf of hypothyroid sufferers throughout the world Janie, thanks for being there. You’re a STAR :o )

    Luv — Sheila

Woo Hoo Janie!!! What a tremendous source this will be!! Finally, this whole “thyroid madness” that we have had to deal with for so long, will be out there for all to see, and then maybe…just maybe, we will finally get the recognition & corrected treatment we are being denied everyday!!

    Janie,
Hooray for you!!! I can’t wait to get the book. I recommend this website to everyone, now I can give them the book. In December 2007 I truly thought that I was dying & then I found STTM. I am on the journey to becoming myself again & the information I found here is the reason. I know that your book will be most beneficial in getting the information out there that will change the lives of thyroid/adrenal sufferers! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are a blessing!

Okay, time for the guys to chime in. I have tried everything for the past 2 and a half years. Sublingual Armour on a fixed schedule has been the only thing that has reduced my symtpoms, INCLUDING COMPLETELY ELIMINATING MY IBS! My Fibromyalgia is greatly reduced… with a little more Amrour, I’m hoping to make it go away, too. Thanks for taking the time to help others. I will get a copy of the book, even if it only repeats what this website already says. (from Janie: it repeats what the site says, but has a lot more! lol. You’ll like it. )

Janie, I’ve reccomended your site to hundreds of parents who have children with autism, and linked you in many presentations. There’s such a huge overlap of thyroid issues in autism and in the parents of kids with autism. I tell people all the time that the VERY BEST site I know for thyroid information is yours. I hope you get your book on Amazon.com so you can get wider exposure. Thank you for all you do!

I’m getting the book.….its about time that we have this out for all to see. Been trying to spread the word to all that will listen, this is much better. Two years ago I was almost down when I found this website, thanks to it I am much better. I am still on road to recovery, hit alot of snags, like infection, etc. but know that I’m 75% better now than two years ago and Janie and Val have been my lifeline, even helped my husband and his diabetes, YEAH.….Love you Janie

Interesting that soy is a thyroid inhibitor. One of the treatments for adrenal fatigue is phosphotidylserine, which is soy-based! (from Janie: Yes, but the key is “excessive” soy, not “any” soy.)

wow — very interesting site. i have a very close friend who is hypo and frustrated with doctors frustration and inability to raise TSH levels — now they are talking about surgery or radium treatment — i will send her this link and we will consider all the facts very carefully before making any rash decisions. i will send an update with any progress we make.

    Janie,
I got your book this week and it has changed my life already!! I read it in one day from cover to cover. I have asked doctors here in Thailand for over 3 years for natural thyroid and been told it isn’t possible to buy it here. Thanks to your book i was able to contact the makers of Thyroid-S, natural thyroid and buy it! So now I am on Day 4 of treatment, All that in one week!

Can’t wait to get your book. I, too, am writing one on the thyroid but it will not be politically correct. Wish you would make another bumper sticker (like the title of Chapter 4) like this:

    Thyroid TSH test
    TS Hooey

Bless you for your web site and advocacy.
I have swent info or emailed all congressmen and senators, all governers, all members of the supposed “Health and Human Services Committee” and every representative of the great state of Tenn. who tells its doctors not to treat the thyroid until the TSH reaches 7, yup 7. Genocide is being committed right here in the good old USA. I have also emailed NBC, CBS etc, no response from anyone. Heard that suicide rates for doctors are much higher than the general population. Could this be because they are not allowed to be doctors and have to watch people suffer????
